Alexandria on the brink of peak Fall Colors

Tall trees with vibrant orange and red autumn leaves are seen from below in Alexandria on the brink of peak fall colors, their branches spreading against a bright blue sky as sunlight streams through the colorful canopy.

The area’s Naturalist, Ben Eckhoff, told me earlier in the season to watch for bright yellows from the Sugar Maples in an area between the Forestry Trail and Maple-Basswood trail. Found it, and it’s beautiful!
