Get ready to paint the town green this weekend while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Whether you are looking for Irish bites, green beer, or family-friendly fun, your weekend is sure to be filled with festive cheer!
If you are seeking a classic St. Patty’s Day pub-crawl style fun, check out the 2nd Annual Shamrock Shuffle. Five local restaurants have teamed up to raise money for accessibility improvements for the new Alexandria Splash Pad! The Shamrock Shuffle will take place March 14-17th and it’s easy to join in on the fun.
Here’s how it works:
- Grab a punch card at any of the five participating locations: D. Mikes, Pike & Pint Grill, Hook & Slice, Fat Daddy’s Bar & Grill, or DJ’s Tap House
- Shuffle around to the participating locations to get you card stamped with each purchase
- Turn in your completed card at your final stop for a chance to win over $1,500 in prizes!
- Get creative! Dress up, snap a fun pic, post it in the Facebook event page, and you could win a bonus FUN prize pack!
Irish Bites and Live Music
Celebrate all weekend long at Copper Trail Brewing. Starting on Friday, March 13, join them for their Green Beer kickoff event with live music from 7-9pm. Stop by for Irish bites on Saturday as they launch their Reuben Egg Rolls and Irish Stew. Stay for live music by Squid City Slingers from 7-10pm.
For late night fun, head over to the Depot Smokehouse and Tavern for their St. Patrick’s Day Bash on Saturday, March 14. Enjoy live music with Rogue Royal as they hit the stage at 9pm, bringing the energy for a night of shamrocks, shenanigans, and rock & roll. Don’t forget to wear your green! The fun doesn’t stop there. Come back on Tuesday, March 17th for their Keep Calm & Leprechaun event! Enjoy corned beef & cabbage, Pot o’ Gold burgers, and more green beer. Enjoy live music from 5-8pm by Blonde and the Bohunk!
Shopping & Family Friendly Fun
Start your Saturday with a little local shopping at the March Vendor Market at Rolling Forks Vineyards. Browse a variety of local vendors offering handmade goods, delicious treats, and a few lucky finds along the way.
For more shopping and family friendly fun, stop by Ollie Birch Boutique & Lounge on Sunday, March 15 from 12 to 3 pm for Lucky Duck Bingo. This free event is perfect for all ages and no registration is needed. Enjoy signature dirty sodas, popping boba, mocktails, and tasty snacks while you get ready to shout BINGO.
The Irish fun continues at Carlos Creek all weekend long. Stop out for Lucky Irish pizza, spring cheesecake flights, 2 for 1 Fridays, and live music happening throughout the weekend. It is a great place to relax, gather with friends or the whole family and keep the St. Patrick’s celebration going. Enjoy mocktails, cocktails, root beer on tap and craft wine or beer.
