“Summer Sounds By Brophy” Returns in 2024

After a very successful first year, the Alexandria Rotary Club has released their 2nd annual “Summer Sounds by Brophy” concert line-up. The outdoor concerts will take place on select Tuesday nights at Lake Brophy County park. Last year’s three concerts were attended by an estimated 9,000 people. The club has added a fourth date for Summer 2024.

This year’s concerts begin again with the Fabulous Armadillos on July 16th, followed by Xpedition on July 23rd, The Perfect Storm on July 30th and finishing up on August 6th with the Johnny Holm Band.

All concerts start at 5:00pm with an opening act: July 16th – Blonde and the BoHunk / July 23rd – The Three of Us / July 30th – Runestone Rebellion / Aug. 6 – Blonde and the Bohunk

There will be a lot of food vendors at the event, but only one pub (which will be run by the Rotary Club). No outside alcohol or coolers are allowed at the concerts. This is how the club was able to raise over tens of thousands of dollars last summer. Money they are reinvesting in the park. At the February 15th County Commissioner’s Board meeting led by club president David Hartmann and several others the Rotary Club presented a check worth $45,000 that will be used to make a playground shelter at Lake Brophy County Park.

The concerts are free to the public and the club will provide a shuttle service and parking for concertgoers.
