Lake Darling

Lake Darling is a popular 1,050-acre lake in the Alexandria Chain of Lakes, known for its easy access, scenic shoreline, and variety of water recreation opportunities. Connecting to both Lake Carlos and Lake Cowdry, it’s a favorite spot for boating, fishing, and enjoying classic lake life just minutes from Alexandria.

About Lake Darling

Located on the Alexandria Chain of Lakes, Lake Darling is a popular destination for water recreation and fishing.  Many have seen the shores of Lake Darling thanks to one of the state’s most popular resorts, Arrowwood Resort which resides on its western shores.  In total Lake Darling has about 6.5 miles of shoreline and contains 1050 acres.  It’s deepest point is 62 feet.  It connects with Lake Cowdry to the south and Lake Carlos to the North.

Each 4th of July you can enjoy a huge fireworks show on the lakeside lawn of Arrowwood Resort or in your boat, floating about on lake Darling.  If you like to fish, this lake features Largemouth Bass and Black Crappies, but it also contains Walleye, Bluegill, Hybrid Sunfish, Pumpkinseed, Rock Bass, Yellow Perch, Yellow Bullhead, Common Carp and Northern Pike.
