Grape Stomp Festival is Highlight of Fall in Alexandria

Aerial view of the Grape Stomp Festival at Carlos Creek Winery, featuring tents, vendor booths, walking paths, a green-roofed building, and a STIHL-branded woodcutting demonstration area with logs and a small pool on the grass.

The Grape Stomp Festival has been a huge festival in the Alexandria Lakes Area since it first took place many years ago. Carlos Creek Winery is at the hub of activity, but it is now part of a bigger picture that is under the umbrella of Bold North Cellars. 22 Northmen Brewery is also a great addition as is the Grand Hall Event Center. Put it all together, add wine tasting, a beer garden, twelve bands on four stages, over 100 food, juried art and marketplace vendors, lumberjack shows, and three days of grape stomping and you have something that will draw in an estimated 15,000 people over the three day event.

In 2024 the event runs from Friday, September 13th through Sunday September 15th. Each year there is a theme on Saturday. This year it is a 70’s Theme Day (no children, including infants/pets).

The FREE shuttles from local hotels are now offered on Friday (as well as Saturday) this year! In addition, on Saturday only, shuttles will run from Carlos State Park, Runestone Community Center and Viking Plaza Mall. There is ample on-site parking if you wish to drive.

For much more information, including shuttle information, parking, times and more, visit the Grape Stomp Festival website.
