Aerial tour of Alexandria, Minnesota reveals a calm, expansive lake bordered by dense green forest and a narrow strip of land extending into the water under a clear sky.

Heading north or west out of town, you have to navigate a lot of lakes and take some land bridges. Having grown up in the area, it seemed like commonplace, but it really is a unique trait of the area.
