There is just something about the bright colors of sunflowers that make photographing fun.  There are a couple of opportunities for you to get out into the fields and click away.  The Massman Companies have planted sunflowers out on their newly acquired land on Nevada Street in Alexandria (purchased in June 2022) and they are welcoming anyone to take photos and stroll around the fields.  Their field is JUST now reaching peak bloom because they were planted a little later than others were – so this is a great opportunity for those who haven’t been able to get out and take photos yet.   *Massman has taken precautions to reach out to the sheriff’s office to let them know for the next few weeks the fields are open to the public to come walk the fields and take photos.

The other opportunity is out at Country Blossom Farm.  They have a sunflower maze as part of their many, family fun offerings.  You can also take part in their corn maze that gives a shout out to Big Ole and to Explore Alexandria tourism.  https://youtu.be/gg6Y66eCEbw
